James C. Fulmer, DDS

Dr. Jim Fulmer, a fifth-generation Kenoshan and the eighth of nine children, has had a long and fulfilling career in dentistry. Although he has retired from practicing full-time, he remains a part owner of his practice, actively involved in managing business operations. He occasionally steps in to treat patients, which reflects his ongoing passion for dentistry.

Dr. Fulmer and his wife Pam have raised two daughters, Kaleigh and Sophie, in his hometown of Kenosha. His family has a strong dental tradition, boasting eleven dentists, including most recently his daughter, Dr. Kaleigh Fulmer. She joined the practice in 2017 after graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry, continuing the family legacy.

Dr. Fulmer’s love for dentistry is as strong as it was when he graduated. He values the passion of his team and cherishes the lasting relationships he has built throughout his career. The joy of seeing a new smile and aiding patients in achieving better dental health are rewards that keep him motivated in his continued service.

A proud alumnus of Marquette University School of Dentistry, class of 1985, Dr. Fulmer immediately embarked on advancing his expertise. He completed a one-year residency at the Olin E. Teague Veterans Administration Medical Center in Temple, Texas, and pursued a General Practice residency – a commendable achievement completed by only 5 percent of general dentists.

Over the years, Dr. Fulmer has accumulated over 2000 hours of advanced dental study. He is an alumnus of the esteemed L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in his field. His career stands as a testament to his dedication to dentistry and the well-being of his patients.
